Pacers Look To Return To Winning Ways Against Atlanta

Last updated on Wednesday, January 11, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers face the Atlanta Hawks this evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Pacers are 6-3 following their 96-86 loss to the Seventy-Sixers in Philadelphia on Monday night. Indiana played without leading scorer Danny Granger and key reserve George Hill against Philly.

Granger stayed back at the team hotel with a case of food poisoning while Hill was sidelined by a sore back.

The Pacers lost another player during the game as Tyler Hansbrough was floored by an inadvertent elbow to his left eye late in the third quarter.

Hansbrough was taken to the locker room and according to Head Coach Frank Vogel had trouble seeing. He did not return to Monday night's game but participated in practice yesterday sporting a pair of goggles.

The Pacers are unbeaten at home, winning their first three games at the Fieldhouse this season. The Hawks enter tonight's contest riding a three-game winning streak.

Their latest victory came on Monday when they won at New Jersey 106-101.

Joe Johnson leads Atlanta in scoring at almost 17 points per game with Josh Smith averaging 15.6 points per contest.
