Jones Lay-up As Time Expires Leads Cardinals Past Rockets

(TOLEDO, OH) - Jarrod Jones’ lay-in as time expired gave the Ball State Cardinals a 70-68 win over the Toledo Rockets in Toledo.

Jones finished with a game-high 22 points with Jesse Berry adding 18 as the Cardinals picked up their fourth win in a row.

Rian Pearson scored a team-high 19 points for the Rockets with Dominique Buckley adding 16 as Toledo drops to 8-8, 0-2 in the Mid-American Conference.

Ball State improves to 10-4, 2-0 in the MAC.

The Cardinals are back home to face Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
