(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Roy Hibbert scored a team-high 18 points despite missing some time in the first half with a broken nose as the Indiana Pacers edged the Los Angeles Lakers 98-96 in LA.

The Lakers jumped out to a 13-point lead at the end of the first quarter after Hibbert broke his nose midway through the period when he ran into Kobe Bryant.

Hibbert returned in the second quarter and teamed with Darren Collison to hit some key shots in the final period.

Collison's floater in the lane with 1:15 remaining put Indiana up for good at 96-95.

Bryant got an open look at a three-pointer that would have tied the game with under three seconds remaining, but the ball hit the back of the rim and the Blue and Gold came away with a rare road win over the Lakers.

Danny Granger finished with 16 points and David West added 15 as the Pacers wound up winning two of the three games on their west coast road trip.

Bryant led the Lakers with 33 points and Andrew Bynum scored 16 as the Lakers lost their third game in a row and suffered just their second home loss of the season.

The Pacers are back home to take on the Orlando Magic Tuesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

After tomorrow night's contest, the Pacers are back on the road for another three-game trip.
