Orlovsky And Wayne Lead Colts To Second Straight Win

Last updated on Friday, December 23, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Dan Orlovsky hit Reggie Wayne with a one-yard touchdown pass with 19 seconds remaining as the Indianapolis Colts got past the Houston Texans 19-16.

The final drive for the Colts was keyed by three defensive penalties by the Texans culminating in Wayne's winning score.

Orlovsky went 23 of 41 for 244 yards with Wayne catching eight balls for 106 yards.

The late heroics helped offset a big night from Texans running back Arian Foster. Foster ran for 158 yards and a touchdown while Houston quarterback TJ Yates completed 13 of 16 passes for 132 yards.

The Texans fall to 10-5 while the Colts improve to 2-13. The Colts close out the regular season on New Year's Day in Jacksonville.

Colts Owner Jim Irsay says Peyton Manning will return to the team in 2012 if he is healthy. Irsay made his comments during an interview on NFL Network before last night's game with Houston.

The owner says that if a great young quarterback is available when the Colts draft in April, he will not hesitate to pick him.

The Colts are expected to take Stanford's Andrew Luck if they have the first overall pick.

Irsay says money is not an issue, commenting that he paid Manning 26 million dollars this season and Manning did not play.
