(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will close out the short-week of practice today as they face the Houston Texans tomorrow night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts are 1-13 while the Texans have wrapped up the AFC South and are 10-4. The Colts are coming off their first win of the season, a 27-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Houston is coming off a disappointing 28-13 loss at home to the Carolina Panthers. The Texans beat the Colts 34-7 in week one of the season.
The Colts announced Tuesday that injured quarterback Peyton Manning will not practice with the team this season.
Manning has not played this season after undergoing two neck operations this year, the last one on September 8th.
The four-time league MVP had hoped to play this season and the Colts did not place him on injured reserve with the hope that he would at least practice with the team before the end of the regular season.
Manning is due a 28-million dollar roster bonus in March.
The Colts will get more opportunities to review his health if manning fails his post-season physical next month. If he fails the physical, he would be allowed to rehabilitate and work out at the Colts' facilities.
The Colts appear to be relatively healthy going into Thursday night's game with Houston.
Tight End Dallas Clark and Linebacker Philip Wheeler where the only two colts to sit out Tuesday's practice due to injury. Both missed Sunday's win over the Titans, Clark with a neck burner and Wheeler with a foot injury.
Twelve Texans either did not participate or were limited in their participation in practice.
Among those who did not practice was Wide Receiver Andre Johnson, who will miss tomorrow night's game with a hamstring injury according to Houston Coach Gary Kubiak.
