Colts Place Another Defensive Player On Injured Reserve

Last updated on Wednesday, December 7, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to practice this afternoon.

They face the Ravens Sunday afternoon in Baltimore.

The Colts are 0-12, their worst start since dropping the first 13 games of the 1986 season. The Ravens are 9-3 and are tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North. The Colts are 9-2 all-time against the Ravens, including playoff games.

The Colts have won their last eight meetings with Baltimore. The Colts have lost another key player for the remainder of the season as they placed rookie defensive tackle Drake Nevis on injured reserve Tuesday.

Nevis, a third-round pick out of LSU, injured his back against Tampa Bay in week four. He played one more game against Jacksonville on November 13th but had missed the past two games before being placed on IR.

The Colts also announced the signing of defensive back Brandon King off Miami's practice squad, the promotion of defensive back Mike Holmes from their own practice squad, the claiming of linebacker Kevin Bentley off waivers from Jacksonville and the re-signing of offensive lineman Mike Tepper to their own practice squad.

King played collegiately at Purdue and played four games for the Colts last season before being placed on IR.
