Balanced Purdue Attack Leads Boilermakers Past Mastodons

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Six Purdue players reached double figures as the Boilermakers beat the IPFW Mastodons 81-56 at Mackey Arena.

Anthony Johnson and DJ Byrd led the Boilers with eleven points apiece.

Robbie Hummel was one of four Purdue players to score ten points and also grabbed a game-high ten rebounds.

Joe Edwards led the Mastodons with 12 points off the bench with Trey McCorkle finishing with ten points.

The Dons see their five-game winning streak come to an end as they fall to 7-4.

The Boilermakers improve to 10-3 and are 8-0 in West Lafayette this season.

Purdue is off until next Wednesday night when they open Big Ten play at Iowa.

IPFW returns to Summit League play next Wednesday as they travel to South Dakota State.
