(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Izod IndyCar Series Driver Ed Carpenter is forming his own team for the 2012 season.
Carpenter is joining forces with his stepfather, former Indianapolis Motor Speedway CEO Tony George, in forming the new team.
Tony George owned Vision Racing in the IndyCar Series with Carpenter as the driver.
Vision folded before the 2010 season.
Carpenter made the announcement in a news release to introduce Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka as the car's primary sponsor.
Carpenter drove in ten races in 2011 with Sarah Fisher Racing, winning the next-to-last race of the season at Kentucky Speedway.
