(NEW YORK, NY) - Thursday's talks between NBA officials and the Players Association came in at just seven and-a-half hours.

The two sides adjourn shortly after nine o'clock Eastern Time last night with Players Association Executive Director Billy Hunter saying both sides were "wiped out" after the 15-hour negotiating session that started Wednesday afternoon and ended Thursday morning.

The talks will continue today with both hunter and NBA Commissioner David Stern confident that a new collective bargaining agreement is close at hand.

While Stern said after Thursday's session that there is no guarantee a new deal will be done today, he did say that they are going to give it "a heck of a shot".

The league has been without a CBA since July 1st, at which time the NBA locked out the players.
