(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts returned to the practice field Wednesday as they prepare for Sunday afternoon's home game with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Colts are off to an 0-4 start for the first time since 1998.

They have not dropped their first five games of a season since losing ten in a row to open the 1997 campaign. Kansas City is 1-3.

The Chiefs are coming off their first win of the season, a 22-17 victory at home over the winless Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.

The Colts made some roster moves on Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Ben Ijalana and defensive tackle Eric Foster were placed on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

Both were injured in the Colts' 24-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.

The team also waived linebacker Nate Triplett. To take their places on the roster, the Colts signed offensive tackles Michael Toudouze and Quinn Ojinnaka and elevated defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews from the practice squad.

The Colts also announced that offensive guard Jaimie Thomas, who currently is on injured reserve, has been suspended by the NFL four games for violating the league's policy regarding anabolic steroids and related substances.

Six Colts missed Wednesday's practice due to injury. Quarterback Peyton Manning remains out following neck surgery.

Offensive linemen Anthony Castonzo and Ryan Diem missed Wednesday's workout with ankle injuries while defensive linemen Dwight Freeney, Fili Moala and Drake Nevis were also absent.

Quarterback Kerry Collins is listed as having participated in practice on a limited basis following his concussion and linebacker Ernie Sims was also back at practice although limited.
