(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to the practice field this afternoon as they begin preparing for Sunday’s home-opener with the Cleveland Browns.
The Colts and Browns are both coming off losses to division rivals in week one.
The Colts were pounded by the Texans in Houston 34-7 last Sunday while Cleveland lost at home to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-17.
Indianapolis has not started a season 0-2 since Peyton Manning's rookie season in 1998.
The Colts have won their last five meetings with the Browns.
With estimates of Manning being sidelined anywhere from two months to the entire season, Bill Polian says he is on the lookout for Manning's replacement.
The Colts' Vice Chairman commented on his weekly radio show Monday that the team expects Manning to make a full recovery and play for several more years, but that Manning's career is waning and it is time to find a replacement.
Polian spent Saturday at Duke University watching Stanford's Andrew Luck play.
Luck is expected to be the top quarterback available in the 2012 Draft.
The Colts made some roster moves on Tuesday, waiving tight end Mike McNeill off the active roster and cutting practice squad players Chris Brooks and Deandre McDaniel.
The team has not announced who will replace McNeill on the roster, but there are reports that linebacker Caleb Campbell has joined the Colts.
Campbell is in his second year out of Army.
He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2008 and was on the Lions' active roster at the end of last season, playing in three games.
