(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts reportedly have re-signed quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
The Indianapolis Star, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reported that the team had signed the veteran signal caller after working him out on Tuesday morning.
Orlovsky has appeared in 13 regular season games with Detroit and Houston, completing 150-of-272 passes for 1,679 yards with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.
He played with the Colts during the preseason but was waived in the final cut down before the regular season.
The team also worked out quarterback Brodie Croyle, who spent five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
There has been no update from the Colts on the status of starting quarterback Kerry Collins.
Collins left Sunday's loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers with concussion-like symptoms.
The Colts have an extra day to get ready for their Monday Night Football game in Tampa with the 2-1 Buccaneers.
The players have today off and will return to practice on Thursday.
The Cotls are off to an 0-3 start, but have shown improvement.
Their latest setback was the 23-20 loss to the Steelers on Sunday night with the Colts losing on a field goal as time expired.
