Cardinals Draw Even With Braves With One Game Remaining In Season

Last updated on Wednesday, September 28, 2011

(HOUSTON, TX) - The St. Louis Cardinals head to the final day of the regular season tied with Atlanta for the National League Wild Card lead.

Ryan Theriot hit a go-ahead two-run triple in the seventh inning as St. Louis overcame an early 5-0 deficit.

Allen Craig hit a three-run home run and drove in four with Skip Schumaker adding a three-run double and Nick Punto hitting a solo homer and driving in two.

The win combined with the Braves' 7-1 loss at home to Philadelphia makes the wild card race a dead heat entering tonight's season finales.

A wild-card playoff game would be held at Busch Stadium on Thursday night.
