(HOUSTON, TX) - Angel Sanchez' suicide squeeze bunt in the bottom of the tenth scored the winning run as the Houston Astros edged the St. Louis cardinals 5-4 in extra innings.

Matt Downs hit a two-run homer off St. Louis starter Jaime Garcia in the fourth to give Houston a 4-1 lead.

The Cardinals scored one run in the fifth and Lance Berkman tied the game with a two-run double in the eighth.

Brian Bogusevic led off the bottom of the tenth with a double off St. Louis reliever Octavio Dotel.

Jason Bourgeois reached on a fielding error by Dotel with Bogusevic advancing to third.

Sanchez followed with the game-winning bunt single.

The loss is especially tough for the Redbirds as Atlanta lost at home to the Phillies.

The Braves remain a game ahead of St. Louis in the NL Wild Card standings with two games to play.
