Yankees Pull off First Sweep Of White Sox In Chicago Since 1976

(CHICAGO, IL) - The New York Yankees pulled off a four-game sweep in Chicago for the first time since 1976 as they knocked off the struggling White Sox 7-2.

Ivan Nova pitched into the eighth inning, allowing a run on six hits while striking out a career-high ten batters to move to 10-and-4.

Russell Martin hit a three-run home run and drove in four for New York with Robinson Cano adding a solo shot as the Yankees extended their winning streak to seven games.

Adam Dunn hit a solo homer for the Sox, his eleventh of the year, as Chicago has lost six in a row.
