Indians Clip Tigers On Fukudome's Walk Off Hit By Pitch

Last updated on Wednesday, August 10, 2011

(CLEVELAND, OH) - Kosuke Fukudome was hit by a David Pauley pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 14th inning as the Cleveland Indians got past the Detroit Tigers 3-2.

The Indians scored twice in the first inning on an Asdrubal Cabrera RBI single and a sacrifice fly from Carlos Santana.

Detroit tied the game in the top of the second on RBI groundouts by Don Kelly and Austin Jackson.

Nobody would score again for twelve innings when Cabrera walked, Travis Hafner singled and Santana was intentionally walked to get to Fukudome.

It was a big win for Cleveland as the Indians remain a game ahead of third place Chicago in the AL Central while cutting Detroit's lead to three games.
