Fever Hit West Coast For WNBA Action

Last updated on Thursday, August 18, 2011

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - The Indiana Fever are on the west coast as they face the sparks late tonight in Los Angeles.

The Fever are coming off a 65-63 victory in San Antonio. They have won three straight and eight of their last nine games. Indiana is 17-and-7 and holds a game and-a-half lead over second-place Connecticut in the WNBA's eastern conference.

The Sparks are 9-and-14 and are three games behind Seattle for the final playoff berth in the western conference. Indiana beat LA by 35 points in the first meeting July 31st at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Sparks were without star center Candace Parker in that first game. Parker missed nearly two months of action with a knee injury, but returned for the Sparks' Tuesday night game with Atlanta. Parker scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds in the 84-79 loss to the Dream.
