Collins Expected To See Plenty Of Playing Time Thursday

Last updated on Wednesday, August 31, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Kerry Collins should see plenty of playing time in the Indianapolis Colts’ preseason finale with the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night in Cincinnati.

Head Coach Jim Caldwell would not disclose his plans for the quarterbacks tomorrow night, but did say that Collins will take a good deal of the snaps.

Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky could also see time under center in their final chance to impress the coaching staff before this weekend's final cut down.

Collins was signed last week as insurance for starter Peyton Manning, who was activated on Monday but is still rehabilitating from offseason neck surgery.

The Colts and the Bengals close out their preseason schedules against each other for the ninth-straight year and the tenth time in the last eleven years.

Cincinnati has won the last seven of those preseason games.

The Colts come in to tomorrow night's game having lost their last nine preseason contests and are 0-3 this season.

The latest setback was a 24-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Friday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Bengals are 1-2 and are coming off a 24-13 win over the Carolina Panthers last Thursday night at Paul Brown Stadium.
