Cardinals Need Extra Innings To Snap Brewers Seven Game Win Streak

(MILWAUKEE, WI) - The Milwaukee Brewers’ seven-game winning streak is over.

Lance Berkman's RBI single in the top of the eleventh gave the St. Louis Cardinals an 8-7 win over the Brewers.

St. Louis starter Jaime Garcia hit a three-run home run in the Cardinals' five-run fourth, the first homer of his major league career.

Matt Holliday added a solo shot and grounded into a double play in the seventh that brought Rafael Furcal home to tie the game at seven.

Yuniesky Betancourth hit a three-run homer for Milwaukee while Prince Fielder drove in a pair of runs.

The Brewers' lead over the Cardinals in the NL Central dips to two and-a-half games.
