Cano Out Slugs Gonzalez To Win Home Run Derby

(PHOENIX, AZ) - New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano won last night's All-Star Home Run Derby last night in Phoenix.

Cano defeated Boston's Adrian Gonzalez in the final round twelve home runs to eleven.

The two team captains for the derby, Milwaukee's Prince Fielder and Boston's David Ortiz, were eliminated in the semifinals.

St. Louis outfielder Matt Holliday failed to make it out of the first round, losing to Ortiz and Fielder in a "swing off" when all three tied for fourth place with five homers apiece.
