With Cap Room To Spare, Pacers May Make Draft Day Deal

Last updated on Tuesday, June 21, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers continue to prepare for Thursday Night’s NBA Draft.

The Pacers currently have the 15th and 42nd picks in the draft although Team President Larry Bird has expressed a willingness to make a deal.

The Pacers have roughly 35-million dollars worth of salaries coming off the books this offseason.

How that will apply once the free agent signing period begins is unknown as the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NBA and its players expires on July 1st.

Bird has his annual pre-draft media availability scheduled for this morning.
