(ST. PETERSBURG, FL) - Ryan Hanigan's three-run home run was the key blow as the Cincinnati Reds edged the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3.

Hanigan lifted a hanging curve ball from rays starter James Shield into the left field stands with two out in the fourth inning to record his first home run since April 3rd.

Evan Longoria hit a two-run double in the sixth to pull Tampa Bay to within a run at 3-2, but Fred Lewis added some insurance for Cincinnati with an RBI single in the seventh.

BJ Upton capped the scoring with a solo homer off Reds starter Edinson Volquez in the seventh. Volquez gets the win to improve to 5-and-3 while Shields drops to 8-and-5.
