(UNDATED) - In racing, practice gets underway this afternoon as the NASCAR Sprint Cup series visits Daytona International Speedway for Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400.
Two practice sessions are scheduled for today with qualifying on Friday afternoon.
Rookie Trevor Bayne, who won the Daytona 500 in February, is expected to compete this weekend. Bayne missed nearly two months with a mysterious illness but did return for the Sprint Cup race at Michigan on June 19th.
Kevin Harvick is the defending winner of the July Daytona race.
