Indians Back In First In AL Central Race After Clipping Tigers

(DETROIT, MI) - The Cleveland Indians are back in a first-place tie with Detroit atop the AL Central thanks to a 6-4 win over the Tigers.

Orlando Cabrera drove in the go-ahead run with double in the fifth inning.

Cabrera finished with two runs batted in for Cleveland as did Matt LaPorta.

Fausto Carmona allowed all four Detroit runs, two of which were unearned, in five innings of work to get the win and improve to 4-8.

Brennan Boesch homered and drove in two for the Tigers with Alex Avila contributing a two-run single for Detroit.
