Gallagher Strikes Out Five As Tribe Blanks Ironpigs

(ALLENTOWN, PA) - Sean Gallagher and four relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Indianapolis Indians blanked the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs 2-0.

Brian Friday put the tribe up to stay with an RBI single in the third.

Gorkys Hernandez gave Indianapolis an insurance run with a run-scoring double in the ninth.

Gallagher went five innings, allowing two hits while walking four and striking out five to improve to 2-8.

Jose Ascanio pitched the ninth and struck out all three Ironpigs he faced to get his first save.

Game three of the four-game series is tonight in Allentown.
