(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Dan Wheldon and his Bryan Herta Autosport team earned more than two and a half million dollars for Sunday's win in the 100th anniversary Indianapolis 500.

Wheldon earned 2,567,255 dollars out of a purse of more than 13.5 million.

It is Wheldon's second Indianapolis win as the native of England became the 18th driver to win the 500 multiple times.

Wheldon is in search of a ride for the rest of the season as the Herta entry was an Indianapolis-only deal.
