JR Hildebrand Forfeits Lead After Crashing On Final Lap

(SPEEDWAY, IN) - Rookie JR Hildebrand forfeited the lead and the race after crashing on the final-turn of the final-lap during the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.

As Hildebrand slid towards the finish line, Dan Wheldon slipped by under caution and captured his second victory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Danica Patrick got around Scott Dixon for the lead on lap-179, but yielded after ten-laps for a pit stop and a splash of fuel.

Patrick finished tenth.

Rookie Pippa Mann finished 20th, Ana Beatriz followed in 21st, and Simona De Silvestro finished 31st.
