Indians Break Out Long Ball In Blowout Win Against Tides

(NORFOLK, VA) - The Indianapolis Indians hit three home runs en route to a 9-1 win over the Norfolk Tides.

Matt Hague gave the Indians a lead they would not relinquish when he hit a two-run homer in the top of the first off Norfolk starter Chris Jakubauskas.

Chase D'Arnaud made it 5-0 Tribe when he launched a three-run shot off Jakubauskas in the second.

Dusty Brown would add a solo shot off Ryan Drese in the sixth inning.

Indianapolis starter Brian Burres picked up his first win of the season, allowing a run on six hits in his six and two-thirds innings of work to improve to 1-4.

The Indians and Tides play game two of the four-game series tonight in Norfolk.
