Bowker's Two Run Single Pushes Indians Past Pawsox

(PAWTUCKET, RI) - The Indianapolis Indians snapped Pawtucket’s three-game winning streak with a 4-3 win over the Red Sox.

John Bowker put the Indians up to stay in the fifth when his two-run single gave the tribe a 3-1 lead.

Alex Presley scored a needed insurance run in the sixth when Matt Hague grounded into a double play.

Rudy Owens allowed three runs in his six innings of work and got the win, improving to 4-3.

Pawsox starter Brandon Duckworth took the loss to fall to 4-3.

The Indians and Red Sox play game two of the four-game series tonight in Pawtucket.
