Colts Use First Round Pick To Add Offensive Line Depth

Last updated on Friday, April 29, 2011

(NEW YORK, NY) - The Indianapolis Colts used the 22nd pick of the first round of the NFL draft to select Boston College offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo.

Castonzo is 6-foot-7, 311 pounds and started every game in his four-year career at BC, including the past three seasons at left tackle.

The Colts have been looking for a dominant left tackle since Tarik Glenn retired following the Colts' win in Super Bowl 41 in 2007.

Charlie Johnson has manned the left tackle spot most of the time the past four seasons.

Johnson is currently a free agent and if he stays with the Colts, the team could move him to right tackle or one of the guard positions.
