Butler Guard Mack Will Enter NBA Draft

Last updated on Wednesday, April 13, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Butler Junior Guard Shelvin Mack says he has submitted his name for the NBA draft.

Mack says he will not hire an agent, allowing him to withdraw his name from consideration by May 8th in order to retain his final year of college eligibility.

The Draft Is June 23rd.

Mack got off to a slow start this past season but turned it on during the NCAA Tournament as the Bulldogs reached the National Championship Game for the second-straight year.

He is projected to be a late first-round, early second-round prospect.

First-round picks receive guaranteed contracts while second-rounders do not, something that could play in Mack's ultimate decision.
