Big Third Inning Leads Reds Past Brew Crew

(MILWAUKEE, WI) - The Cincinnati Reds scored six runs in the top of the third and went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-5.

Jay Bruce hit a two-run homer in the big inning and Brandon Phillips went 3-4 with three runs batted in for Cincinnati.

Ryan Hannigan also drove in a pair of runs and starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo had an RBI in improving to 3-2 on the season.

Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer for Milwaukee.

Brewers starter Chris Narveson gave up seven earned runs in his two and-a-third innings of work to take the loss, falling to 1-1.
