(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame will no longer use hydraulic lifts to film football practices in the wake of an accident last October that killed a student.
Instead the school will use remote-controlled cameras.
Twenty-year-old Declan Sullivan fell to his death last October 27th when a lift collapsed on a day where wind gusts of 51 miles per hour were recorded.
The Reverend John Jenkins, Notre Dame's President, announced the change on Tuesday.
The new remote-controlled cameras are expected to be in place when the Fighting Irish begin spring football practice on March 23rd.
