Crusaders Knock Off Penguins To Move To Horizon League Quarterfinals

(VALPARAISO, IN) - The Valparaiso Crusaders advanced to the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament with an 80-71 win over Youngstown State in Valparaiso.

Brandon Wood led the Crusaders with 20 points and 13 rebounds with Cory Johnson scoring 15 points and Howard Little adding 14.

Damian Eargle led the Penguins with a game-high 21 points as Youngstown State ends its season at 9-21.

Valpo improves to 22-10.

The Crusaders will take on Detroit in a quarterfinal game Friday night in Milwaukee.
