Bulldogs Shut Down Badgers To Move On In NCAA Tournament

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Butler Bulldogs advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Basketball Tournament with a 61-54 victory over fourth-seeded Wisconsin in New Orleans.

Matt Howard led the Bulldogs with 20 points and twelve rebounds.

Shelvin Mack added 13 points and Shawn Vanzant had ten as Butler advances to meet number-two seed Florida in Saturday afternoon's regional final.

Jordan Taylor scored 22 to lead the Badgers as no other Wisconsin player reached double figures in scoring.

Jon Leuer, who averages almost 19 points per game, was held to three by the Bulldogs on 1-for-12 shooting from the field.
