Painter And Stevens On Coaching Staff For USA Basketball

Last updated on Friday, January 21, 2011

(UNDATED) - The coaching staff for the United States’ men’s basketball team at this summer’s World University Games in China will have a definite Indiana flavor.

Purdue's Matt Painter will serve as head coach for the team of under-19 players that will compete in August.

Butler Head Coach Brad Stevens and Missouri State Head Coach Cuonzo Martin will serve as Painter's assistants.

Martin played and was an assistant coach at Purdue.

The players will vie for roster spots at a training camp in Colorado Springs in early August.
