Evansville Snaps Losing Streak Against Poor Shooting Drake

(EVANSVILLE, IN) - Evansville's three-game losing streak is over as the Purple Aces defeated Drake 67-51 at Roberts Stadium.

Ned Cox scored a season-high 15 points to lead four Aces in double figures.

Evansville took advantage of Drake's poor shooting as the Bulldogs hit just 34 percent of their shots from the field.

They compounded the problem by missing 14 of their 29 free throw attempts.

Ben Simons led Drake with eleven points as the Bulldogs drop to 7-10, 2-4 in the MVC.

Evansville evens its record at 8-8, 2-4 in conference play.

The Aces hit the road to face Illinois State on Saturday night.
