(LAS VEGAS, NV) - Seventh-ranked San Diego State survived a scare from IUPUI, edging the Jaguars 56-54 at the Jerry Tarkanian Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas.
DJ Gay led the Aztecs with 18 points with Malcolm Thomas adding twelve points and nine rebounds as San Diego State improves to 14-0.
Alex Young scored 19 points to lead all scorers with Stephen Thomas adding eleven points and Christian Siakam adding ten as the Jags fall to 5-8.
IUPUI concludes play in Las Vegas this evening when they take on the San Francisco Dons.
