(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana Center Guy-Marc Michel has been declared ineligible to participate in men’s college basketball.
Michel played with a French sports club from 2005 to 2008 and during that time played five games with the club's top-level team.
The top-level team is considered professional per NCAA guidelines and triggered NCAA amateurism violations.
Michel is scheduled to graduate from IU in the spring and the University will honor his scholarship.
