(FONTANA, CA) - The NASCAR Sprint Cup series is at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California this weekend.
Practice and qualifying are Friday with the race on Sunday.
Jimmie Johnson edged into the points lead with his second-place finish last Sunday at Kansas.
The four-time defending sprint cup champion holds an eight-point lead over Denny Hamlin with the top eight in the Chase still within 100 points of the lead.
Johnson is the defending race winner and also won the first California race this season back in February.
