White Sox Fall Further Back In Central Race After Loss To Tigers

(DETROIT, MI) - The Chicago White Sox fell further back in the AL Central as they lost to the Detroit Tigers 5-1.

Jeremy Bonderman allowed a run on three hits over eight innings, allowing a fourth-inning home run to Omar Vizquel.

The Tigers went ahead to stay in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run single by Brandon Inge and a two-run double from Alex Avila.

Bonderman got the win to improve to 8-9 while Chicago starter John Danks took the loss to fall to 13-10.

The Sox are now five and-a-half games behind Minnesota in the central division.

The Twins won their sixth in a row with a 4-3 victory over Kansas City.
