(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Adam Wainwright earned his 19th win of the season, leading the St. Louis Cardinals to a 4-1 victory over the San Diego Padres.
Wainwright pitched seven shutout innings before Adrian Gonzalez scored an RBI single in the eight inning, the Padres' only run.
Matt Holliday, Pedro Feliz and Brendan Ryan all drove in runs while Colby Rasumus homered to right in the sixth inning.
Ryan Franklin got the save for the Cards.
