Reds Use The Long Ball To Drop Diamondbacks

(CINCINNATI, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds used five home runs to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-2.

The D-Backs took the early lead when Miguel Montero and Ryan Church hit solo homers off Reds starter Bronson Arroyo.

Jay Bruce and Drew Stubbs tied the game with solo shots in the second and Cincinnati took the lead for good in the third on a solo blast by Joey Votto.

Later in the third, Bruce hit his second home run of the evening, a two-run shot off Arizona starter Barry Enright.

Orlando Cabrera added another solo homer in the fifth and Bruce capped the scoring with an RBI single in the seventh. Arroyo went six innings to get the win, improving to 15-10.

Enright took the loss to drop to 6-4.
