Reds Pound Padres, One Game Away From Clinching Central Title

(SAN DIEGO, CA) - The Cincinnati Reds were unable to clinch the NL Central despite a dominant 12-2 victory over the San Diego Padres.

The Reds needed the win and a loss from St. Louis to clinch.

Joey Votto started the game with a solo home run in the first inning.

Brandon Phillips added a home run as well as Chris Heisey, who also hit a three-run double.
