Fowler And Street Stop Cubs Rally In Ninth

Last updated on Monday, August 2, 2010

(DENVER, CO) - An impressive catch by Dexter Fowler ended any chances of a comeback for the Cubs as the Colorado Rockies beat Chicago 8-7.

Fowler rushed to grab a ninth inning blast by Alfonso Soriano, crashing into the center field wall in the process.

Cubs starting pitcher Carlos Silva left the game in the first inning with an abnormal heart rate and was taken to the hospital where he will stay for observation.

The Cubs rallied for a comeback but after Fowler's catch, closer Huston Street struck out Jeff Baker to end the game.
