Astros Blast Cardinals To Win Seventh Game In A Row

(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The St. Louis Cardinals could not take advantage of Cincinnati’s loss as they were bombed by the Houston Astros 18-4.

Shortstop Angel Sanchez did most of the damage for Houston, collecting four hits and driving in six runs.

Chris Johnson had three runs batted in with Jason Bourgeois, Hunter Pence and Pedro Feliz driving in two apiece as the Astros won their seventh game in a row.

Colby Rasmus and Matt Holliday hit solo homers for St. Louis as the Cardinals remain a half-game behind the Reds in the NL Central.
