(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Vicente Padilla threw eight shutout innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers blanked the Chicago Cubs 7-0 Sunday night at Dodgers Stadium.

Padilla had a no-hitter going through five innings until Cubs rookie Starlin Castro doubled to lead-off the sixth inning.

Cubs pitcher Carlos Silva was ejected in the second inning after arguing a call.

The Cubs head into the All-Star break 9-and-half games back in the NL Central.
