(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Purdue University Head Football Coach Danny Hope announced Tuesday Junior Robert Marve will be the Boilermakers starting quarterback this upcoming season.

Marve transferred to Purdue from the University of Miami in May of 2009 and sat out all last season watching starting quarterback Joey Elliot.

Marve shared the number 1 quarterback spot with sophomore Caleb Terbush throughout this past spring's practice.

While starting at quarterback for the Hurricanes Marve threw for 1,293 yards and nine touchdowns.
