Holliday's Three Run Homer Pushes Cardinals Past Astros

(HOUSTON, TX) - The St. Louis Cardinals ended their first half of the season with a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Sunday.

The Red Birds were down 2-0 before Matt Holiday hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning.

Rookie Blake Hawksworth picked up his first major league win allowing seven hits and 2 runs.

Red Birds closer Ryan Franklin recorded his 16th save in 17 opportunities.
