(NEW YORK, NY) - Jeff Francoeur hit a three-run homer and Jose Reyes added a two-run shot as the New York Mets beat Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals 8-2.
Wainwright had not allowed a run in 26 innings before the Mets scored in the second.
Wainwright would give up a season-high six runs in his five innings of work, dropping to 14-6 on the season.
Jonathan Niese gave up a run in his six innings of work to get the win, improving to 7-4.
